How To: Facebook Comments Integration
MySiteManager are happy to bring you the ability to add Facebook comments to your web pages at the click of mouse, no coding neccessary! Simply check the box marked "Enable Facebook Comments?" when editing a page in the Manage Pages area of the control panel and click save and your page will display a Facebook comments box.
What Are Facebook Comments?
Facebook comments allow Facebook users to comment on your web page directly rather than logging in to Facebook and having the discussion there allowing you to get instant feedback on your site and connect with your customers. Comments can be made either on your web page or on Facebook and will be synchronized across both platforms to show the whole conversation.
Why Should I Use Facebook Comments?
Facebook is the world's largest social networking site with over 500 million active users. Facebook comments allows your site visitors to give you instant feedback on your site, feedback that is then visible to all the users friends giving your site worldwide exposure and access to millions of new visitors and customers. We all know that recommendations and referrals are essential to any businesses growth and Facebook comments give you and your visitors a quick and easy way of promoting your business.
Can I Moderate Facebook Comments?
Yes you can! First you must register your Facebook ID with us like so:
Step 1: Find your Facebook ID
- Log in to Facebook
- Click on your name in the top left corner near your profile photo to go to your profile page.
- Copy and paste the ID from the URL in the address bar (see image)
Step 2: Register your Facebook ID with MySiteManager
- In the MySiteManager control panel click "Search Engine Tools"
- In the box marked "Facebook Admin ID" paste your Facebook ID and click "Save".
This ties your page to Facebook so Facebook knows it is your site and you have the right to moderate the comments. You must moderate the comments on Facebook.

Happy Birthday To Us!
Time flies when you're working hard and it's been 8 years today since MySiteManager started and we're very happy to be still going strong! You, our loyal clients that have stuck with us over the years, through the change of management, changes of servers and changes of control panel have helped us grow the business and our impressive set of features through your feedback and recommendations and we're not stopping there! In the next few weeks we'll be rolling out our integration of Facebook comments and the ability for you to choose a different design for each page of your site. After that we're going to improve the control you have over your site's look and feel by offering you more options to customize your site with widgets or change your site's colours and fonts and create custom text styles.
Futher along we will upgrade the control panel to run on ASP.NET which will mean the control panel will be faster, easier to use and give us more scope for new features. We will also enhance the image management area by giving you the ability to resize your images as you upload them, the calendar will be upgraded to make it easier to use and allow online bookings with payments, the PayPal shop will be overhauled allowing you to choose from a selection of layouts and options and much, much more!
Of course we also want to welcome new customers so we would like to offer all new customers who sign up before the 24th July 2011 our special birthday tariff of just £80 set up and then £8 a month.

How To: Verify Your Site In Google and Bing Webmaster Tools
Verifying your MySiteManager site in Google Webmaster Tools
Sign in to the MySiteManager control panel.
In a new browser window or tab sign in to Google Webmaster Tools (You'll need a free Google account for this).
Click "Add a site", enter your domain name and click "Continue"
Choose "Add a Meta tag to your site's home page"
A verification meta tag will be generated similar to this:
Select everything between the quote marks after content= (e.g. vGmvkX5kWSlvN2zRAIkDDJHnZNUNivU1Jw58xx2Jdpk) and press CTRL and C on your keyboard to copy.
Switch to the MySiteManager control panel, go to "Search Engine Tools" and paste (CTRL and V) the contents in to the Google Verification Tag field and click "submit".
Switch back to Google Webmaster Tools and click "Verify".
Your site should now be verified in Google!
Add your site's XML sitemap (see the Search Engine Tools section of the control panel for the address to your XML sitemap) and Google will begin crawling and indexing your website.
Verifying your MySiteManager site in Bing Webmaster Toolbox
Sign in to the MySiteManager control panel.
In a new browser window or tab sign in to Bing Webmaster Toolbox (You'll need a free Windows Live ID for this).
Click "Add Site" and a pop-up form will appear prompting you to enter your domain name. Enter your domain name and press "submit".
Next you must verify ownership in the "Verify Ownership" form. Select Option 2: Copy and Paste a tag.
A verification meta tag will be generated similar to this:
Select everything between the quote marks after content= (e.g. A9C1DEE2C8BD824C13C4BB5E45A3A1A7) and press CTRL and C on your keyboard to copy.
Switch to the MySiteManager control panel, go to "Search Engine Tools" and paste (CTRL and V) the contents and click "submit".
Switch back to Bing Webmaster Toolbox and click "Verify" in the "Verify Ownership" box.
Your site should now be verified in Bing!

New look
Over the past few days we've been working on a small makeover for the MySiteManager site and we are rather pleased with it. We hope you agree and we look forward to hearing your comments about it. We've made the information easier to read and more visually pleasing and thrown in a bit of eye candy. The site should also load quicker now we've removed the Twitter feed from the left hand column. You can still follow us on Twitter at http://twitter.com/mysitemanager. We'll be giving the control panel a similar makeover in the coming weeks and we hope to improve load times and make it easier to use on mobile browsers.

Updated editor
While you may not notice it straight away we've updated the WYSIWYG editor in the MySiteManager control panel. The new editor boasts better paste controls to remove any nasty formatting that may upset the editor and therefore make pages easier for you to edit. For example Microsoft Word uses it's own brand of HTML which the majority of web browsers and web editing programs don't understand. The new editor strips all this extra formatting out but leaves your colours, font sizes, etc intact.
The new editor also adds improved support for Internet Explorer 8, better handling of rich media files such as flash, video, etc and generally makes editing your pages simpler and quicker.
